FAQs

Why Liquid Smile?

Poweful Whitening:

Professional strength gel with 12% hydrogen peroxide. Most OTC products don't even list the hydrogen peroxide dosage because it is so low (usually from 2-6%).

Easy to Apply:

Liquid Smile takes only about one minute to apply, including the time needed to allow the gel to dry. You can target a single "stubborn" tooth that is darker than your other teeth.

Pain Free:

Because of it's unique formulation and delivery system, Liquid Smile offers virtually pain-free whitening. Even for those consumers with sensitive teeth or gums. However, we urge anyone who is very sensitive to hot and cold products, or brushing and flossing to immediately consult your dentist before whitening. There may be greater issues that should be addressed first.

Patient Compliance:

Effective whitening is achieved ONLY when the patient, or consumer, complies with the direction. With Liquid Smile's paint-on, simple approach, consumers are more likely to comply with the one-minute process that fits into their bedtime routine. You are more likely to miss a treatment when you must wear a tray or strip for a long period of time and then avoid intake of food and beverages for 4 to 6 hours.

Most Effective:

Paint on whiteners are most effective because as soon as it is painted on the tooth surface the hydrogen peroxide begins attacking the stain molecule in the tooth. In just about 15 minutes the whitening activity is finished. Many tray systems use carbamide peroxide, which takes four times longer to work because it needs to first break down into hydrogen peroxide.

Refreshing Flavors:

Liquid Smile offers consumers four of the most popular flavors - cola, root beer, lemon lime and mint. This eliminates that medicinal aftertaste that no one likes.

Expiration Date:

Liquid Smile is batch formulated regularly and is date stamped to ensure you receive a fresh product. Hydrogen peroxide, in whitening gel form, has a shelf life of up to one year if refrigerated.

Made in the USA:

Liquid Smile is formulated, produced and packaged in the United States, using only food grade hydrogen peroxide. Liquid Smile also conforms to GMP standards. If you don't use Liquid Smile, please be sure that the product you purchase is made in the USA and not in China or other countries that lack the stringent FDA standards.

Quality Control:

The care taken in delivering a quality product to Liquid Smile consumers has now taken whitening to a new standard: Every whitening pen has its own serial number to enhance quality assurance.

Efficient Delivery:

Liquid Smile is applied directly to the tooth surface, so 100% of the gel is applied to the area you are trying to whiten. Tray systems will have seepage of the gel. In addition, the gel will be distributed not just to the front of the teeth, but also to the back of the teeth and up into the gum line.

Pleasant Whitening Experience:

All of the above make Liquid Smile a consumer and patient favorite. Most important is that an effective whitener that is pain free, easy to apply and doesn't force you to change your daily living habits, while providing a pleasant experience. And that means the next time you need to whiten your teeth, you are more likely to do it. And that translates to a whiter smile for life.

Sanitas

Once you know how to apply LATISSE™, it's important to understand a few simple tips to help you make your treatment as effective as possible.

Follow these guidelines for best results:

Think routine
Try to incorporate LATISSE™ into your nightly routine — for example, after you've washed your face and brushed your teeth.

Keep it handy
Store the LATISSE™ bottle near your other skin care products or toothbrush, so you won't forget to apply it each night.

Have patience
LATISSE™ (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% takes time to work. Only use it once a night, and don't overuse it, as this may increase the chance of experiencing eye redness or itchiness.

Start fresh
If your eye makeup remover leaves an oily residue on your eyelids, wipe off any excess oils with soap and water to ensure a clean surface before you apply LATISSE™.

Follow the rules
Always use the sterile, disposable FDA-approved applicator provided in the kit. Don't try to apply LATISSE™ with a cotton swab. The LATISSE™ applicator is specially designed to hold a drop and release a drop, as well as ensure safety and maximize effectiveness.

Don't play catch up
If you miss a dose one night, don't apply more just to catch up. Simply apply LATISSE™ the next evening and stay on schedule.

Beware of germs
Don't let the tip of the bottle or applicator contact your fingers or any other unintended surface, in order to avoid contamination.

Chart your progress
When you start using LATISSE™ solution, be sure to mark your calendar and take pictures throughout weeks (0, 4, 8, 12, 16), so you can have your own "Before & After Gallery."

MICROLASER PEEL

Now you can have younger looking, healthier feeling skin with a popular new treatment – the MicroLaserPeel™.

Does this sound like you?
“I’ ve always been active. Years ago I was unaware of the effects of sun and wind on my skin. Although I don’t feel as old as I sometimes look I’m not ready for surgery or a long recovery process, but I’d love to look as young as I feel!”

The “weekend” skin peel, the MicroLaserPeel, treats skin conditions associated with aging and an active lifestyle. You can see real improvements in just a few days.

FAQs

What is the MicroLaserPeel?
VideoIt is a minimal to full epidermal laser peel that precisely removes the outermost layers of the skin. The procedure is individually tailored to the nature of the problem to be corrected: wrinkles, scars, keratoses,or pigmentation problems.

Who should consider a MicroLaserPeel?
The patient looking for better results than microdermabrasion or light chemical peels can offer, yet, still has little time for the healing process.

How is the MicroLaserPeel different from Microdermabrasion?
Generally, microdermabrasion only removes the outer layer (up to 4 microns) of the skin. Patients may become dissatisfied when the perceived results do not equal expense and the number of procedures required.

The MicroLaserPeel is a minimal to full epidermal peel (20-50 microns). Because this procedure goes deeper into the epidermis, it is the perfect step between microdermabrasion and deeper peels.

How often does a MicroLaserPeel need to be done?
One procedure could be sufficient for at least 6 to12 months, but additional procedures can be performed as required. A package of three to four treatments may be best for you. Our medical staff will work with you to determine what is best for you.

What can you expect?
Smoother, healthier more vibrant skin. You will notice a significant and immediate change in skin texture and tightness when compared to microdermabrasion.

What type of anesthesia is used?
For treatments up to 10-15 microns anesthesia is not required. For deeper treatments we use topical anesthesia especially compounded for maximum comfort.

Do I have to wear any type of dressing or bandage after the procedure?
No! Our medical staff will prescribe an ointment such as Aquafore. This is used as a barrier to keep the air away from your skin while you grow new epithelium. You will probably use it for one to two days. After that, a moisturizer can be used.

How long is the healing process?
The healing process varies from patient to patient but will generally take from two to four days. The procedure can be performed on Thursday or Friday and you can return to work the following Monday. Immediately following the procedure you will feel as if you have a bad sunburn. You will have minor sloughing and itchiness the following day. By day two, redness will begin to fade and by day three any redness can be easily covered by makeup.

How much does it cost?
The cost for Laser Peels depends on the size of the area to be treated, the number and depth of treatments necessary. Prices range from $75 - $300 and are on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis – pre-payment for packages or series no longer required! Learn more during a FREE 1-hour skin consultation.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser hair removal is a safe, fast and effective alternative for removing unwanted hair. Lasers work by emitting a specialized light that is passed through the skin and absorbed by melanin (color) in the hair follicle, damaging the follicle and removing the hair. Laser hair removal is a very safe procedure and can be used effectively on all body parts, including the face, back, underarms, bikini line, legs and arms.

FAQs

How does it work?
VideoThe Sciton laser selectively targets your hair follicles and heats them with infrared energy. The laser employs a unique computer-guided scanning system that automates the treatment, setting the parameters and placing the beam in an optimum pattern for your skin, thus ensuring that you skin is rapidly and evenly treated. You will have a safe, fast, effective and gentle treatment.

Can all skin colors be treated?
Yes. Laser hair removal is effective for all skin types from Type I (very fair, always burns and never tans — usually blonde hair and blue eyes) through Type VI (never burns — black skin, black hair).

Can tanned skin be treated?
Tanned skin can be treated safely, but always inform your physician if you have been tanning or exposed to the sun within the last three weeks so your treatment regime can be adjusted accordingly to give you the safest and most effective experience.

What happens during hair removal treatment?
The area of your skin that is to be treated will be scanned with laser light from the Sciton system. Treatment time will depend upon the area to be treated. A system for cooling your skin will be used to remove the heat from the laser and ensure a comfortable treatment. Depending on your skin’s sensitivity, a topical anesthesia may be applied to provide additional comfort.

How do I prepare for my appointment?
On the day of your treatment, wear clothing that will allow easy access to the area being treated. You will also want to shave the area to be treated prior to your appointment as laser hair removal works best when the hair is 1-2 millimeters in length.

What should I expect after treatment?
Generally, some redness will remain for approximately five to seven days — longer for some patients and shorter for others. Some redness and slight swelling may be present in the area that has been treated, however, this should subside within a few hours. If any prolonged redness or swelling occurs, you should consult your physician. Following laser hair removal, you will need to keep the area clean and use a sunscreen with at least SPF 15 when outdoors.

Are there any possible complications?
There is a low risk of pigmentary changes in the skin. Please be sure to discuss any concerns with your physician prior to your treatment. (S)he can outline all possible complications and ensure that you have a worry-free treatment.

Can pseudofolliculitis be treated?
Yes. Pseudofolliculitis is a type of chronic acne disorder caused by ingrown coarse or curly hairs, which affects darker skin types. The infrared energy delivered by the Sciton laser is the preferred method of treatment for this disorder.

Is treatment permanent?
Typically, each laser treatment results in some permanent hair loss and most cases require several treatments. The number of treatments will depend on your response to laser therapy and the amount of hair to be removed. Many patients are happy with a reasonable degree of hair reduction. In addition, any remaining hair is often lighter in color and thinner than the original hair. As with other treatments for unwanted hair, there is no guarantee that laser hair removal treatment will be permanent.

How many treatments will I need?
Typically, hair removal requires three to five treatments done at five to eight week intervals. There are three phases of hair growth: anagen, catagen and telogen. Only hairs in the active growth phase, anagen, can be successfully treated.

Does treatment hurt? What can I expect with the procedure?
Most patients describe laser hair removal as feeling “prickly” or like the light snap of a rubber band against the skin. Afterwards, it might feel like a bad sunburn. Each patient has his or her own level of skin sensitivity and pain threshold. Different areas on the body are also more sensitive than others.

How much does treatment cost?
The cost of a hair removal program depends on the size of the area to be treated and the number of treatments necessary. Prices for Hair Removal treatments range from $50 - $290 and are on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis – pre-payment for packages or series no longer required! Laser Vascular Treatments

Radiant Clinic uses the Sciton CLEARSCAN laser to precisely treat visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions and discoloration of your skin. This procedure results in less noticeable vessels with virtually no downtime.

FAQs

What conditions can be treated?
VideoThe Sciton CLEARSCAN laser is particularly effective at treating rosacea, redness, facial veins, telangiectasia, spider veins and broken capillaries.

What areas can be treated?
All skin areas can be treated. The most common areas include the face, neck, chest and legs.

Are there any risks?
There is little risk in the treatment of benign conditions. Repeat treatments may be necessary depending on your response to the treatment and the result desired. Your doctor will discuss potential risks of your specific condition prior to treatment.

How long will it take to recover?
Your healing time will depend upon your actual treatment. There is virtually no downtime and you may resume moderate activity immediately. Your skin will have a pink or red color that will resolve over several days. You will need to avoid direct sun exposure and use a sun block with at least SPF 15 when outdoors.

Will it be uncomfortable?
Typically, patients experience little to no discomfort, however, this varies from patient to patient and is also affected by the depth of the treatment. There is no need for anesthesia and your physician will discuss your options to properly manage any discomfort from the treatment. There should be no lasting post treatment discomfort.

What will happen during the procedure?
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. The laser beam will be delivered to the area of your skin being treated. You may briefly feel a warm or hot sensation as the laser pulses are preferentially absorbed in the unwanted vessels, heating and destroying them. Your procedure may take anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the size of the area to be treated.

What aftercare will I need?
You will be given recommendations for skin care products that will minimize your risk of inflammation or redness and ensure the shortest healing time. Your body will reabsorb any vessels denatured by the laser over a period of time in a natural cleansing process. Most small capillaries will become invisible almost immediately since they no longer contain blood flow. You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and will need to avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. It is important to cover your skin or use a good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors until the treated area has healed. Many of the conditions treated by the laser are the result of sun exposure; avoiding the sun will prolong your new youthful appearance.

How much does treatment cost?
The cost of laser vascular treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated and the number of treatments necessary. Prices for Vascular treatments range from $100 - $200 and are on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis – pre-payment for packages or series no longer required! Learn more during a FREE 1-hour skin consultation.

Photorejuvenation (Photo Facial)

Radiant Clinic uses the Sciton Profile BBL broadband light to perform photorejuvenation, which allows you to achieve glowing, smooth skin with finer lines and a more youthful appearance — all without downtime! Photorejuvenation can erase red and brown skin discoloration associated with long-term sun exposure. Your treatment will be tailored to match your skin’s condition and your desired results.

FAQs

VideoWhat conditions can be treated with BBL?
BBL works best at removing or reducing fine wrinkles, age spots, small facial veins (telangiectasia), rosacea, redness and flushing, freckles(solar lentigines), Cafe’ Au Lait maculae, brown spots, birth marks, port wine stains, red spots (hemangiomas), enlarged pores, poikiloderma, burn erythema and hyperpigmentation.

How does BBL work?
The light energy delivered by the BBL gently heats the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas stimulates your skin cells to generate new collagen. This helps restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colors and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking. In addition, the phototherrmal energy targets and eliminates many of the fine vessels that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions.

What areas can be treated?
Any area of your body can be treated. The most common areas are those most exposed to the damaging effects of the sun, including the face, neck, back of the hands, chest and shoulders.

How many treatments will I need?

How long will it take to recover?
This is a non-invasive and gentle procedure with virtually no downtime. In most cases you will be able to return to work, apply makeup and resume most of your activities right away.

What should I expect after the treatment?
You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Your treated skin will feel smoother, fine wrinkles and pores will be less noticeable and sun spots or uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments and the area treated.

Will it be uncomfortable?
The procedure is gentle, non-invasive and safe. Discomfort is typically minimal, however this varies from patient to patient and depends on the depth of the treatment. There is no need for a topical anesthesia; however, your physician may choose to use one on more sensitive areas.

What will happen during the procedure?
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. You may briefly feel a stinging sensation similar to the snap of a rubber band snap or warmth as the targeted areas absorb the light. The procedure lasts anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of the procedure performed.

What aftercare do I need?
You will be given recommendations for skin care products that will minimize your risk of inflammation or redness and ensure the shortest healing time. How much does treatment cost?
The cost of photorejuvenation depends on the size of the area to be treated and the number of treatments necessary. Neutraceuticals
The foods we ingest provide the building block for all cellular function. However, we no longer receive enough nutrients from food alone. Uncover your nutritional deficiencies via cost-effective lab testing.

With personalized nutritional testing from Radiant Clinic, you can find exact answers to your health questions.

What Nutritional Imbalances May Affect You?

AMINO ACIDS
Amino acids are integral to healthy body chemistry. They serve as the body’s basic building blocks and are responsible for the production of bone and muscle. Balance is critical for proper nerve function, metabolism, detoxification, and digestion. When certain amino acids are too high or low, they can cause fatigue, increased cardiovascular risk, and impair mood and cognitive function. Once identified, imbalances can be corrected, helping to prevent many chronic illnesses before they can cause severe and lasting damage.

FATTY ACIDS
Fatty acids are essential to the construction of cell membranes. Too little or too much fat can cause health problems. Reduced levels of certain fats can result in depression, hyperactivity, numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, as well as early senility. In addition, pregnant and lactating mother should have their fatty acids tested to ensure their children receive the fats needed for proper brain and nerve development. Measurement is the only means to determine your individual needs

DIETARY MINERALS
Minerals in our body serve two functions: one being that they are the building blocks, second being that they are regulators of our body’s processes. Many of these minerals are derived from the diet, and sometimes minerals are added to the diet as supplements. Some minerals can even be toxic. Magnesium, copper and manganese are beneficial. If proper amount are not obtained, problems such as joint pain, weight problems, depressed libido, depression, or anxiety can occur. On the other hand, exposure to mercury, lead, arsenic or other heavy metals can be harmful, causing fatigue, emotional disturbances, even renal failure. Laboratory testing can provide valuable information about your health.

ANTIOXIDANTS
Antioxidants are protective molecules that reduce free radical damage or oxidative stress. Free radicals are naturally occurring compounds in our body that can cause severe injury to cells. Low levels of antioxidants lessen your protection from these harmful compounds. Antioxidants are essential for the body’s ability to protect against free radicals, and for healthy function of the neurological, endocrine, and immune systems. Oxidative stress is linked to premature aging, heart disease, neurological disease and chronic fatigue syndrome. Lab tests can assess equilibrium between oxidative stress and antioxidant protection.

Are you getting the nutrients you truly need or are you just creating ‘expensive urine’? Find out with our cutting edge lab test which, by the way, is covered by most insurance companies.

THERMASCAN FOR LASER ACNE TREATMENTS

Acne
Acne is an inflammatory condition of the skin frequently associated with teenagers. Typically characterized by clogged pores and pimples, cysts, blackheads and whiteheads, Acne, or Acne Vulgaris affects the face, shoulders, back, neck and chest. The most common causes are changes in hormonal levels, increased sebum production, bacteria (P. acne) and changes inside the hair follicles. Severe acne or acne that is not treated properly can lead to scarring.

Patients with Acne are typically treated with antibiotics or topical creams. Today laser therapy has proven to be a very effective and faster way to treat acne and acne scars.

Our Sciton’s ThermaScan brings a new approach to acne treatment. Your treatment will be tailored to match your skin condition and desired results

What will ThermaScan do?
We use ThermaScan to treat acne and atrophic acne scars. The acne and atrophic acne scars on your body will soften as a result. You will notice an immediate improvement in your skin texture and smoothness.

What conditions can be treated?
Acne & atrophic acne scars

What will ThermaScan laser do?
The acne treatment uses an infrared laser to treat your condition. The laser energy delivered by the ThermaScan gently heats up the upper layers of your skin/dermis. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will reach the sebaceous glands in your skin, thus reducing the number of active acne lesions. ThermaScan acne therapy is effective on all skin types and tones.

How many treatments will I need?
Clinical studies suggest that at least two treatments are needed to see results. Typically, patients will receive 2 treatments per week for 2-4 weeks or until acne clears. Results of acne treatment by sebaceous gland heating have been reported to last up to 6 months.

How long will it take to recover?
One of the most outstanding features of this treatment is that there is virtually no downtime associated with the procedure. After a session, the area treated may appear red for up to an hour. No wound is created, therefore, there is no healing time required.

What should I expect after the treatment?
Typically you will experience some redness that will resolve within a few hours. Since results vary depending on patient condition, number of treatments and area treated, your physician will provide you with all the complete information about the post treatment effects and results.

Will it be uncomfortable?
Acne treatment is gentle and non-invasive. There should be minimal or no discomfort. You may feel a warming of the skin or a rubber band snap like sensation as the procedure is performed. However, this varies from patient to patient and depends on the depth of the treatment. A topical anesthetic cream can be used on extra-sensitive areas. However, no injections are needed.

What will happen during the procedure?
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. You may feel a warming of the skin or a rubber band snap like sensation as the laser energy is absorbed by the targeted areas. Your procedure takes between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type and depth of the procedure performed.

What aftercare do I need?
It is important to follow your physician's instructions. You may be given some skin care products and instructions on how to use them. This will minimize your risk of inflammation or redness and ensure the shortest healing time. You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and you must avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. Fully cover your skin or use a good sun screen whenever you go outdoors.

How much does it cost?

As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. But, with Juvéderm™ injectable gel, you don’t have to just sit back and let it happen!

FAQs

What is JUVÉDERM?
VideoJuvéderm is the only HA filller with FDA approval to last up to one year. It is a smooth consistency gel dermal filler that helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Juvéderm comes in two formulations—Juvéderm Ultra and Juvéderm Ultra Plus.

What does JUVÉDERM do?
Juvéderm injectable gel temporarily adds volume to facial tissue and restores a smoother appearance to the face.

Why does JUVÉDERM come in two formulations?
Juvéderm injectable gel is available in two formulations to allow us to tailor treatment to your unique needs. Juvéderm Ultra provides versatility in contouring and volumizing facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm Ultra Plus is a more robust formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper folds and wrinkles.

What makes JUVÉDERM different from other dermal fillers?
JUVÉDERM is the ONLY hyaluronic acid (HA) filler FDA approved to last up to one year. It also works to create a smooth consistency gel that flows easily into the skin and provides a smooth, natural look and feel. All other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers currently on the market are made of granular consistency gels. And, Juvéderm is the first hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has demonstrated its safety and effectiveness in persons of color.

What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in all mammals that helps to hydrate and add volume to your skin. In addition to its use as an aesthetic treatment, hyaluronic acid has also been used for more than 20 years for injection into arthritic joints to aid movement as well as for eye surgeries and wound repair.

What will treatment with JUVÉDERM injectable gel accomplish?
Juvéderm injectable gel will help to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing. And one treatment could smooth your lines and wrinkles for up to one year.

Is treatment with JUVÉDERM injectable gel painful?
Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the injection. The smooth consistency gel of Juvéderm allows to administer it easily and smoothly. And, Juvéderm is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce injection discomfort. We may choose to numb (anesthetize) the treatment area to further minimize discomfort.

How long does treatment usually take?
Depending on the area(s) treated the injection process take from 15-30 minutes. You’ll also need to allow time to consult with our medical professionals prior to treatment.

Does the correction last forever?
No. Correction is temporary; therefore, touch-up injections as well as repeat injections are usually needed to maintain optimal corrections.

What are the possible side effects of JUVÉDERM injectable gel?
Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting
(7 days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injections site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin injection procedures there is a risk of infection.

Can people with different skin tones/colors be treated with JUVÉDERM?
Yes. In fact, Juvéderm injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has proven its safety and effectiveness in persons of color. Studies with Juvéderm showed no increased risk of hyperpigmentation or hypertrophic scarring in patients of color.

BOTOX

Radiant Clinic offers BOTOX®, a simple, non-surgical treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe lines between the eyebrows, worry lines located on the forehead and crow’s feet. BOTOX® is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The procedure takes only a short time to perform and there is no downtime.

FAQs

What exactly is BOTOX?
VideoBOTOX is a purified protein produced by the clostridium botulinum bacterium. It is a non-surgical treatment that can smooth moderate to severe glabellar lines between the eyebrows, worry lines located on the forehead, and periorbital lines around the eyes (also known as crow’s feet). During treatment, very low doses of BOTOX are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause those stubborn lines. The treatment is usually done in about 10 minutes and no recovery time is needed. Within days, you may see an improvement that can last up to four months. Results may vary.

How does BOTOX work?
Moderate to severe glabellar lines, worry lines and periorbital lines form over time as the result of muscle activity. BOTOX is injected directly into the muscles causing these lines. It works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those persistent lines to form.

When will I see results from a BOTOX cosmetic treatment?
You may see a marked improvement within a few days. Lines continue to improve for up to a month, with results lasting up to four months. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of men and women rated the improvement in their appearance as moderate to better one month after treatment. Results may vary.

How long does BOTOX last?
Results from treatment with BOTOX can last for up to four months. If you discontinue treatment, the lines will gradually reform and look like they did before treatment.

Is treatment with BOTOX painful?
Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. Prior to the injection, the physician may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Many people return directly to work or normal activity following BOTOX treatment.

Who should not use BOTOX?
BOTOX should not be used in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation. Patients with neurological disorders such as ALS, Myasthenia Gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects. Additionally, anyone who is pregnant or may be pregnant should not use BOTOX.

Will I experience any side effects?
The most common side effects include headache, respiratory infection, flu syndrome, temporary eyelid droop and nausea. Less frequently occurring (<3%) adverse reactions include facial pain, redness at the injection site and muscle weakness. These events are thought to be associated with the injection and occur within the first week.

Will my facial expressions continue to look natural?
Although the results are visible, a treatment with BOTOX will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you “had work done.” The muscle activity is simply reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised — just without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.

FAQs

What is ProFractional?
ProFractional is a quick and comfortable laser procedure, requiring little to no downtime, that is used for improving the overall appearance of your skin. ProFractional uses a laser micro beam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin. Since only a fraction of the skin is directly treated with the laser, healing time is quick and downtime is short.

What conditions can be treated with ProFractional?
ProFractional can successfully be used to improve a wide variety of skin conditions, but is used most frequently to improve the appearance of:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Post-traumatic scars
  • Acne scars
  • Age spots
  • Sun spots
  • Freckles
  • Aging and sun-damaged skin

How does the ProFractional work?
ProFractional uses laser energy to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. These channels are surrounded by areas of healthy, untreated skin. The zones of untreated skin invigorate the body’s natural healing process, and the treated areas stimulate production of new collagen, plumping up the skin and smoothing out wrinkles, lines, scars and other irregularities.

Who should consider a ProFractional treatment?
If you are looking for younger looking skin, or want to improve the appearance of scars, wrinkles or sun damage with a comfortable treatment that has a fast recovery, then you may be an ideal candidate for ProFractional.

What areas can be treated?
Most skin areas can be treated with ProFractional; however, the most popular treatment areas include the face, neck, chest and hands.

What is a ProFractional procedure like?
ProFractional is a fast, comfortable procedure that is performed in our office. The procedure normally takes 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the condition and the size of the area treated.

How many ProFractional treatments will I need?
ProFractional is typically done in a series of one to four treatments, scheduled three to six weeks apart, depending on your needs. Our medical professionals will develop an individualized treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Your may also wish to combine ProFractional with a Microlaser Peel or other popular aesthetic procedures to further enhance your treatment results.

What should I expect after treatment?
Immediately following the procedure you may experience a mild redness, resembling a light sunburn sensation. Complete healing occurs within one to three days and most patients can return to work and apply make-up within one to two days of treatment.

What special after-treatment care will I need?
It is important to follow post-treatment instructions, which may include specialized skin care products. You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and will need to avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. It is important to cover your skin or use a good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors until the treated area has healed. You should always use sun protection to avoid sun damage and premature aging of your skin

How much does it cost?
The cost for Fractional Skin Resurfacing depends on the size of the area to be treated, the number and depth of treatments necessary. Prices for ProFractional Skin Resurfacing treatments range from $150 - $400 and are on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis – pre-payment for packages or series no longer required! Sciton Skintyte Skin Tightening
Sciton’s SkinTyte is the latest and most effective procedure available to actually “tighten” loose and sagging
skin. Creates collagen production AND collagen remodeling. Click for details.
Skin Tightening - SkinTyte

This uniquely gentle and effective approach of laser remodeling takes anti-aging technology to a new level – offering a revolutionary way to tighten skin without the down time and expense of surgery! The treatment is specifically designed to be safe for every skin type and requires no injections and leaves no lingering redness or tenderness. The laser light pulse stimulates the growth of collagen fibroblasts deep in the dermis. As these little collagen factories come to life and begin to reproduce, your skin rebuilds from the inside – resulting in younger looking skin. Results are quite visible as the signs of fine lines and sun damage begin to fade away and have been equated to a “mini face-lift.” You will begin to notice smoother, younger looking skin immediately.

FAQs

How does BBL Skin Tightening work?
The light energy delivered by the BBL will gently heat up the deeper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to generate new collagen and tighten the existing collagen. This will help restore your skin to its natural beauty by making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking.

What areas can be treated?
Any area of your body can be treated. The most popular treatments are for the face, neck, back of the hands and chest.

How many treatments will I need?
Typically, three to five treatments, performed four weeks apart, will produce the desired results. You may benefit from additional treatments, depending on the severity of your condition.

How long will it take to recover?
This is a non-invasive and gentle procedure with virtually no downtime. In most cases you will be able to return to work, apply makeup and resume most of your activities right away.

What should I expect after the treatment?
You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. Your treated skin will feel smoother and fine wrinkles will be less noticeable. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments and the area treated.

Will it be uncomfortable?
The procedure is gentle, non-invasive and safe. Discomfort is typically minimal; however, this varies from patient to patient and depends on the depth of the treatment. There is no need for a topical anesthesia; however, your physician may choose to use one on more sensitive areas.

What will happen during the procedure?
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. You may briefly feel a warm sensation as the targeted areas absorb the light. Procedures usually take about 30 minutes or more depending on the size of the area to be treated.

What aftercare do I need?
You will be given recommendations for skin care products that will minimize your risk of inflammation or redness and ensure the shortest healing time. You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and will need to avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. It is important to cover your skin or use a good sun screen whenever you go outdoors until the treated area has healed.

How much does treatment cost?
The cost of BBL skin tightening depends on the size of the area to be treated and the number of treatments necessary. Prices for Skin Tightening range from $100 - $300 and are on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis – pre-payment for packages or series no longer required! Learn more during a FREE 1-hour skin consultation.
